About

Salomé Grouard is a journalist, a content strategist, and a writer. Her work looks at the relationship between people, society, culture, and gender.

Her work lives at the intersection of storytelling and social impact. She’s been published in Vice News, South China Morning Post, Tatler Asia, Hong Kong Free Press, Slate, Mixmag, Time Out, L’Express, Les Inrocks and more. She interviewed industry leaders, experts and trendsetters such as Dr. Jane Goodall, artists Jorja Smith, Doja Cat and Awich among others.

She has also produced stories on revolutionising sexual wellness in Asia, activism within the surfing community, Asian trans musicians reclaiming their narratives through music and looked at the toxicity of gym culture through the lens of the plus-size community.

These days, she’s focusing on uncovering impactful stories while traveling across Asia—and figuring out how not to be an obnoxious digital nomad.

From February 2023 to May 2025, she served as Digital Editor and Front & Female Lead at Tatler Hong Kong, where she managed website editorial content while covering gender equality, women’s empowerment, pop culture, music, and health.

Previously at the South China Morning Post, from October 2020 to February 2023, she was Production Editor for Digital and Lead of the Lunar Project. Under my leadership, subscriptions tripled, and she expanded LGBTQIA+ coverage while regularly contributing articles and op-eds.
