I know it’s part of the game. Being a journalist means not everything you report makes the final cut. We all have word counts. But in this ever-shifting and shaky media landscape, it can feel like there’s never enough budget, space or attention span to write about things that—I humbly think—deserve thoughts, reflection and coverage. And also, let’s be honest: not every answer matches the publication’s editorial line and interest.

So, this Substack is my attempt to find a balance between those realities. To exist. To motivate myself to always ask that follow-up question (even though I have enough material for my article). And to allow myself to be a bit more personal, bring you some interesting behind-the-scene, and train your attention span on reading long format again (haha).
